Description

Edgechem High Gloss Lacquer is a nitrocellulose-based product designed primarily for interior use on wooden substrates such as toys and furniture where a protective high gloss appearance is required.

• Gloss: >88 degrees at 60° angle
• Specific Gravity: 0.93
• Viscosity: 320-340 cPs (#4 Ford Cup at 25°C)
• Flash Point: 5°C (40°F)
• Colour: Clear Amber

Drying Time:

• To touch: 5-10 minutes
• To re-coat: 15-30 minutes
• To handle: 30 minutes

Suggested Uses:
For use on interior wooden surfaces including toys and furniture.

Surface Preparation:
Surface must be dry and free of grease, oil, and dirt. Moisture content of wood should be below 8%. Use over wood products that have previously been sealed with Sanding Sealer and sanded to a very smooth finish (400-600 grit sandpaper). Badly damaged or poor surfaces must be stripped to bare wood and treated as new.

Application:
Reduce 2 parts High Gloss Lacquer to 1 part Lacquer Thinner. Apply 2-3 coats of mixture at 40-50 psi. Recoat at intervals of 10 minutes to an hour depending on climatic conditions. To prevent blushing associated with high humidity, use Edgechem Retarder Solvent as directed.
