EdgeChem Concrete Primer is a high-quality styrene acrylic primer specifically formulated for use on new masonry walls, drywall, and hardboard. It provides excellent adhesion to all masonry surfaces and is compatible with all emulsion topcoats. This primer is ideal for both interior and exterior use, offering good alkali resistance, low odor, and easy application. The water-based formulation ensures a flat finish that enhances the bonding and performance of the topcoat applied over it.

Drying Time:

• To Touch: Approximately 15 minutes (Dependent on temperature and relative humidity)

Coverage Rate:

• Approximately 380 ft² (35 m²) per gallon depending on surface porosity and texture.

Suggested Uses:

• As a primer on new interior and exterior concrete and cement surfaces.

Surface Preparation:

• Fill all cracks and crevices with an appropriate filler.
• Surface must be free of dirt, grease, wax, mildew, fungus, chalk, and peeling paint.
• New or unpainted surfaces should be properly cured for at least thirty (30) days before priming with EdgeChem Concrete Primer.
• If the concrete surface is very smooth, apply a concrete etching solution to roughen the surface. Wash surface thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry before priming.

Application:

• Stir Concrete Primer thoroughly before application. Apply using a clean brush or roller. No reduction is required; however, if necessary, thin with no more than ½ pint of water per gallon of concrete primer.

Shelf Life:

• 2 Years

Clean-Up:

• Clean-up should be done immediately using clean water. Wash out brushes, rollers, and hands immediately after painting.
